eAstern Pyrenees

a week’s tour of the eAstern Pyrenees

PVCC are planned another trip to the Pyrenees from Friday 14th to Saturday 22nd August 2020.

Driving from Amesbury to the Eurotunnel, then on around Paris where our travellers will stop overnight in the Champagne region, refreshments might be had!

The next morning they will tackle the 750km remaining drive to Perpignan and regroup with the rest of the party to prepare for five days crossing the Pyrenees exploring some of the regions classic climbs.

Rounding off this epic trip on Thursday in St Puy at the home of Nick Nelson-Piercy.

After a brief rest it will be time to head back to Vale via Calais this time "in the support vehicle".

Stage 1 - The Grand Depart

Not wanting to emulate the lazy pros with a short exhibition stage PVCC jump right in at the deep end with a punchy 150Km with 3600m of ascent pretty much from the off, amongst a number of punishing climbs including one of 50km.

Stage 5 - The Hotel N-P

Finishing off this gruelling week in the mountains the group will (perhaps!) explore some of the local cols in the Argeles-Gazost area before driving to the summer home of Nick NP in St Puy.
